Page 3 ยท Deploy
From an empty folder to a shared site in five steps.
Pick how you work, then step through. The folder beside each step grows as you go.
Make a folder with a home page
index.html is the page the space's link opens. Every multi-page space needs one.
<!doctype html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> <title>My site</title> </head> <body> <h1>Welcome</h1> </body> </html>
- my-site/
- index.htmlnew ยท home
Add a file for each page, plus what they share
One HTML file per page. Styles every page uses go in one file, so a change reaches every page.
<link rel="stylesheet" href="site.css">
- my-site/
- index.htmlhome
- about.htmlnew
- faq.htmlnew
- site.cssnew ยท shared
Paste the same menu into every page
Write links relative: the file name, no leading slash. Mark the page you're on with aria-current.
<nav> <a href="index.html">Home</a> <a href="about.html">About</a> <a href="faq.html" aria-current="page">FAQ</a> </nav>
Deploy the whole folder as one space
With an agent (Claude Code, Codex or another agent with spacesheep connected), say:
Deploy the folder my-site to spacesheep as one space, with index.html as the home page. Keep it private.
With the command line, from inside the folder:
cd my-site npx -y spacesheep@latest deploy . --title "My site" --emoji "๐งญ"
Every file in the folder goes up together. You get back one link.
index.htmlโ the link aboveabout.htmlโ โฆ/my-site/-/about.htmlfaq.htmlโ โฆ/my-site/-/faq.htmlShare the link, then deploy again to update
Whoever you share the link with can open every page. To change a page, edit its file and deploy the folder again: same link, a new version.
With an agent:
I changed faq.html. Update my-site on spacesheep.
With the command line: the folder remembers its space in .spacesheep.json, and only changed files upload.
npx -y spacesheep@latest deploy . -m "Updated the FAQ"
- Updated the FAQfaq.html changed ยท all 3 pages in this version
- First versionindex.html, about.html, faq.html, site.css
